Man or Machine - Who is the master?
The power of the Internet is stronger today than ever before: In the Arab region Facebook revolutions help topple authoritarian regimes, customers raise their voices against powerful corporations, politics and industry use social media to spread their messages to the people, and Wikileaks has been declared public enemy number 1.
The Internet is both: Enabler of revolutions and developments, and information "controller". Who manages and controls the Internet?
Is it a democratic tool or are we on our way to becoming a surveillance society? What data can be found in the net today and who is following our digital footsteps in the World Wide Web?
At future.talk 2011 we discussed these issues with outstanding experts, one of which was the inventor of the WWW, Sir Tim Berners-Lee.
